Home again - Final post

A fairly uneventful few days getting home and then the sad feeling of not being on the road any more.

A few pics of some places on the last couple of days and the link to the final drone video of Lake Elphinstone.

Rocko was very happy to see me and made sure my ears were clean.

An aerial shot of our camp at Lake Elphinstone. I forgot it on the previous post.

And a bit rotten.

Homeward bound

Well we are now camped back at Duaringa where we spent our very first night 61 days ago.

Since leaving Collinsville we have spent a couple of days at the beautiful Lake Elphinstone, then on to Nebo for lunch at the very friendly & historic pub And finished the day camped here in Duaringa.

Tomorrow we part company at lunchtime in Biloela. Sue and Mark will head East & on to Bundaberg to spend some time with their family and I will head South to spend a night by myself camping at Ceratadus.

The next day, Monday the 4th, should see me home in Howard.

I have taken a drone video of the lake area and hope to have it edited and ready to link in to my final post when I arrive home

2 Nights @ Collinsville

Not much to report, checked out the mining museum, had lunch at the workers club and a free camp at the show grounds right in town. Did a lot of relaxing.

Next stop Elphinstone lake near Nebo.

Ravenwood - Burdekin dam - Ayr

A few more days have slipped by and we are once again free camping on the coast road, about to head back inland tomorrow to Collinsville.

We were extremely impressed with the Burdekin dam, which was far more interesting than expected.

I have done another drone video of the dam and will put the link in this post.

Lots more pictographs of birds and plants. I am becoming quite interested in pics of birds

The video from that drone flight

Kayaking at BD.. Found out later there were salties & freshies in here. I paddled all the way around the island in the distance but only saw 1 freshy.

Water flow release below the spillway. The little figure on the horizon is me. I took this with the drone.

A driving video I did.
